New Tashkent, the capital of Uzbek development

Uzbekistan is moving forward with steady steps throughout the entire geopolitical framework represented by the Uzbekistan Strategy 2030. With this program of reforms and sociopolitical modernization of the country, President Mirzoyan seeks to establish a new geopolitical paradigm for the nation.

The aim is for openness to attract investment and transform the Uzbek economy into the Great Hub of Central Asia. To that end, along with political modernization, the country’s infrastructure and capital must change; hence the need to reform Tashkent and turn it into the city of the future.

The attraction of funds is intended to create a new city, friendly and above all smart, that serves both as a bridge and as a result. Similar experiences, such as those of the United Arab Emirates or Qatar, reinforce the idea of a powerful sovereign fund based on natural resources. In Uzbekistan, mining, gas, and oil are the foundation of development that should allow for greater expansion and modernization of the country, becoming the source of its economic diversification.

New Tashkent is, in fact, the living symbol of this idea and this life. An ancient, historic city recycled into a strong, independent, and modern city. A city attractive to investors, businessmen, and visionaries. Cities like Dubai or Manama went from being depressed cities to city-companies in which the city brand merged with the very spirit of that culture.

The 5th Tashkent Economic Forum seeks precisely this. A city that will be a window onto the future of Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and what lies ahead.
